Justin Callis

Justin Callis

Justin previously worked with Child's Play when he co-wrote The Great Green Adventures of R-Man. Justin recently graduated from the Theatre program at Northwestern University. He does not particularly enjoy long walks on the beach or dancing in the rain, but he would be happy to make you dinner.

 



Kara Karstedt

Kara Karstedt

Kara is thrilled to be working with Child’s Play. Originally from the east coast Kara has worked with numerous theatre companies in the Western New York area as a performer, teaching artist and choreographer. Including, representing Buffalo as a local teaching artist for two years with Camp Broadway at Shea’s Performing Arts Center. She graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre and dance minor. Kara’s been working in Chicago as a performer, musician and director and has just finished co-writing her first full length show that will open in October of 2011. She fell in love with theatre at a very young age and is excited that Child’s Play will give her the opportunity to pay that forward! 

Briana Bower

Briana Bower

Briana is a recent graduate from the Theatre program at Northwestern University, focusing in theatre education. She has worked as a teaching artist with the Dream Big Performing Arts Workshop, and in 2010 worked at the New Haven middle school to create a site specific devised performance, with origianl script and dance numbers, involving 150 seventh and eighth graders.

 

 

Christian Coles Vernon

Christian Vernon

Christian Vernon is ecstatic to be working with Child’s Play! A Theatre and Education major from Denison University, Christian has performed in multiple children’s shows in Chicago, including The Magic Offrenda and The Tale of Pigling Bland at the Theatre Building Chicago. He also stage manages and writes plays, and is currently working on a children’s musical based on Three Billy Goats Gruff.
